Hi!!! My name is Tabitha (but my friends call me Tabs) and I am 14 years old and I live in Mahwah, New Jersey with my mom, my brother Kyle (he is annoying), our dog Pepper, AND SEVEN (7) wild raccoons that live in our backyard tree, which I have NAMED and can identify on SIGHT (see "Photos" below for proof, my dad doesn’t believe me).
I made this entire website BY HAND in Notepad on our family Gateway because my computer teacher Ms. Halloran said Frontpage is “cheating”. So if anything is broken please email me (NOT my mom) and I will fix it ASAP. I am still learning HTML so be nice. The cursor is a little ball of garbage I made it myself.
This page is dedicated to the most misunderstood mammal on planet Earth: the raccoon (Procyon lotor). People think they are pests but actually they have opposable-ish thumbs, can solve locks, and remember problems for up to three years. They are basically tiny PEOPLE with masks. THINK ABOUT IT.

I'm pretty much a normal kid. I do soccer (badly), I play clarinet (also badly), and I am the secretary of my school's Animal Welfare Club (we have 4 members including me). When I grow up I want to be a wildlife biologist OR a special effects makeup artist OR both at the same time which I think should be allowed.
Things you should know: I am a Hufflepuff, my favorite number is 7, and I once met Bill Nye at a science fair in Paramus and he signed my notebook. TRUE STORY.
#1 — STUDYING RACCOONS
I keep a Raccoon Field Notebook (a Five Star, college ruled, purple) where I log every appearance of every raccoon in our yard. I have 233 entries as of tonight. I name them. The current crew is: Bandit (the boss), Sir Reginald (only 3 legs, a legend), Marshmallow (white, possibly leucistic???), Tiny (NOT tiny anymore), The Twins (interchangeable), and Linda (mean).
#2 — CRYPTID RESEARCH
I believe in: Mothman (definitely), the Jersey Devil (lives like 40 minutes away, OBVIOUSLY real), Bigfoot (probably), and the Loch Ness Monster (sentimentally). I do NOT believe in chupacabras — that’s just a sick coyote, sorry to everyone.
#3 — MAKING WEB PAGES (this one!)
I taught myself HTML using a book my aunt gave me called HTML for the World Wide Web (Visual Quickstart, 2nd ed) and a Geocities tutorial. I know tables, frames, marquee, blink, the FONT tag (RIP), and how to make a guestbook with a free CGI script from matt’s script archive. I want to learn JavaScript next so I can make snow fall on the page in December.
#4 — OTHER STUFF
Reading (Animorphs, His Dark Materials, anything with a wolf on the cover), drawing manga eyes in the margins of my pre-algebra notebook, and arguing on the X-Files alt.tv newsgroup under a name I will not reveal here.
